Plotero Terms of Service

Effective date: 16 October 2026
App: Plotero (Android, iPhone, and the web version)
Operator: Hyper Koala Studio

Privacy policy: rom3odelta.github.io/plotero

Welcome to Plotero ("the App", "we", "us", or "our"). Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") before using the Plotero app on Android or iPhone, its web version, or the services behind them.

By installing, accessing, or using Plotero, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. What the App is, and what it is not

1.1 A drawing tool and a deal workspace. Plotero reads the technical description on a land title, the tie line from a monument and the bearing-and-distance legs that follow it, and draws the shape those numbers describe. It reports area, perimeter and closure error, and it can put that drawing over satellite imagery. You can group properties into portfolios, keep the files and photos that go with a deal, and share a portfolio with other people. What you save lives on your device unless you back it up or share it.

1.2 Plotero is a visualization, not a survey. This is the most important thing in these Terms. Every plot the App draws or exports carries the line "Visualization only, not a certified survey", and that line is exact. Plotero does not perform a survey. It does not locate, verify, restore or place a single monument on the ground. It does not produce a document any registry, court, bank or government office is obliged to accept, and nothing it outputs is a substitute for work done and signed by a licensed Geodetic Engineer.

1.3 What the drawing depends on. The shape is only ever as good as the numbers behind it. Those numbers come from a document you supply, read either by the App's scanner or typed in by you. Old titles carry typographical errors, transcription errors and descriptions that do not close. A scanner can misread a faint or skewed page. Plotero shows you the closure error so you can see when something is off, but it cannot tell you whether the title itself is correct, current, authentic, or describes the land you think it does.

1.4 Decisions are yours. Do not buy, sell, mortgage, subdivide, fence, build on, or bring a claim about land on the strength of a Plotero drawing. Have the property surveyed and have the title verified at the Registry of Deeds. You are responsible for how you use what the App shows you, and for anything you share with someone else.

1.5 What needs the network. Drawing, editing, browsing, measuring and exporting run on your device with no network. Reading a title, the map and satellite imagery, backup, sharing and your account all need a connection. The privacy policy describes what each one sends.

2. Your account

2.1 One account, filed under a number. The App makes an account for each installation so it can count your credits. Signing in with Google, or with Apple on an iPhone, attaches that account to you, so your credits and free allowance follow you to a reinstall or a new device. You can use most of the App without signing in.

2.2 One phone, one Free allowance. The Free plan's portfolios, properties and free credits belong to the first account used on a phone. Another account on the same phone starts without them. Support can move the Free allowance to another of your accounts if you ask.

2.3 Keep your sign-in safe. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us if you think someone else is using it.

2.4 Deleting your account. You can delete your account from the App. Deleting it removes your credits and the rest of your account record, and they cannot be restored afterwards. What is saved on your device stays there until you remove it.

3. Price and credits

3.1 Free in this version. Plotero is free to install and free to use. This version sells nothing and shows no advertising.

3.2 Plotero Credits. Reading a title costs us money, so reads are counted in Plotero Credits. A credit pays for one title read of up to three pages, and it is used up when the read runs. The Free plan comes with a one-time allowance of free credits. Credits are not money, have no cash value, and cannot be exchanged, transferred between accounts or sold.

3.3 Your own reading key. You can use your own Google Gemini key instead of credits. You are responsible for complying with Google's terms for it, for keeping it secure, and for what it costs on your Google account. Plotero limits it to a number of reads a day, which the App shows. Google's own limits still apply.

3.4 Paid plans are coming. A later version will sell plans and credit packs through Google Play and the App Store. These Terms will cover them, including refunds, before that version goes out.

4. The reading service and other services we run

4.1 What it is. Reading a title sends the photograph to a service we operate, which passes it to Google's Gemini API and returns what it read. The satellite imagery and some map features go through the same service.

4.2 Limits. We run size caps and abuse limits on it, and we may change them. We may throttle or block use that is automated, abusive, or far outside normal use of the App.

4.3 No uptime promise. The service can be slow, unavailable, or withdrawn. If it is down, the App still draws, and you can enter a description by hand, paste one, or import a CSV.

4.4 What it keeps. The service reads the page, returns the answer and keeps no copy of your title, your photograph or the numbers in it. The privacy policy sets out what it does keep, which is your account record.

5. What can change

5.1 We may change the App. We may add, change or remove features, prices, limits, credit costs and plans, and we may add advertising, such as an optional video in exchange for free credits.

5.2 Notice. Before a material change to price, to what a paid plan gives you, or to what the App sends, we will give at least thirty (30) days' notice in the App or in the release notes.

5.3 Your saved lots stay yours. No price change, and no shutdown of our services, will delete, lock or alter the lots already saved on your device. They stay on your device and stay exportable.

6. Sharing and collaborating

6.1 Shared portfolios live in your Google Drive. When you share a portfolio, the shared copy is kept in your own Google Drive and uses your Drive storage. The people you share with use it under these Terms too.

6.2 You decide who sees what. You are responsible for who you share with, for what you put in a shared portfolio, and for having the right to share it, including other people's titles and personal information.

6.3 Removing someone. When you remove a person, they lose access from then on. We cannot take back a copy they already saved or screenshots they already took.

7. Backups and data loss

7.1 Your data lives on your device. Keeping a backup is your responsibility, whether by the App's export to a file, its backup to your own Google Drive, or some other means.

7.2 No liability for loss. We are not liable for the loss, corruption or destruction of your saved data caused by device loss or damage, hardware failure, uninstalling the App, clearing its data, or an outage at a third-party service.

7.3 Restoring. A restore only happens because you asked for one.

8. Third-party services

8.1 Who is involved. The App depends on services run by others: Google, for the vision model behind scanning, for sign-in, for Google Drive and for Google Play; Apple, for Sign in with Apple and App Store payments on an iPhone; Cloudflare, which hosts our service; and Esri, which publishes the satellite imagery. We are not responsible for their outages or for changes to their own policies and terms. Their terms apply to their part.

8.2 Imagery. The satellite imagery is published by Esri and its data providers, and it is theirs, not ours. It is a picture, not a boundary, and it can be years old and offset from the ground. Never read a property line off it.

9. Updates

The Android app is updated through Google Play and the iPhone app through the App Store, and only there. The App does not download or install an application package itself and will never ask you to install anything from anywhere else. The web version updates when you load it.

10. Things you may not do

You agree not to:

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules.

11. Your statutory rights

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any statutory right or consumer protection you have under the law of the country you live in that cannot lawfully be waived by agreement. Where these Terms conflict with such a right, that right prevails.

12. Disclaimer of warranties

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, PLOTERO AND ITS SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT ANY PLOT, AREA, PERIMETER, BEARING, DISTANCE, COORDINATE, CLOSURE FIGURE OR MAP POSITION PRODUCED BY THE APP IS ACCURATE, COMPLETE, CURRENT, OR FIT FOR ANY LEGAL, FINANCIAL OR CADASTRAL PURPOSE. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SCANNER READS ANY DOCUMENT CORRECTLY. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT OUR SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE OR ERROR-FREE.

13. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL HYPER KOALA STUDIO, ITS DEVELOPERS, AFFILIATES OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE OR GOODWILL, OR FOR ANY LOSS ARISING FROM A PROPERTY TRANSACTION, BOUNDARY DISPUTE, CONSTRUCTION DECISION OR VALUATION MADE IN RELIANCE ON THE APP.

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU ACTUALLY PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, OR ONE THOUSAND PHILIPPINE PESOS (PHP 1,000).

14. Apple

If you got the App from the App Store, this section also applies. These Terms are between you and us, not Apple, and Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it. If the App fails a warranty that applies to it, you can tell Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price of the App; beyond that, Apple has no warranty obligation. Apple is not responsible for any claim about the App, including product liability, failure to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, consumer protection or privacy law, or intellectual property. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. You confirm that you are not in a country under a U.S. Government embargo or on a U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

15. Governing law and disputes

15.1 Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to its conflict of law rules.

15.2 Disputes. Please contact us first so we can try to settle any dispute directly. If that fails, disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of the Philippines. This does not affect any right you have under section 11 to bring proceedings in the courts of the country you live in.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the App changes. When we do, we will change the effective date above, and for material changes we will give the notice in section 5.2.
